Austin and Kat’s wedding is the first wedding I shot after re-locating to the Upstate South Carolina area. Also, it’s the Christmas season, so that made it pretty awesome too.
Thanks Kat and Austin for being excellent models and patient when we had to create a makeshift mini-studio indoors due to rain! Anna and I had a blast shooting your special day.
I wanted some Christmas-y portraits, so we had to get creative:
We used one of the rooms in the church and completely turned the lights out. Kat and Austin patiently sat still on a bench that we found. (But seriously, they were incredibly chill about the whole thing. We had a good time.) Anna gave them this umbrella and we then wrapped them in Christmas lights. I did some double-exposure camera stuff and the bride and groom posed LIKE IT WAS THEIR JOB.
But seriously, what a beautiful night, there was a ton of love in that building that night. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room (bride and groom included).
I’m a big fan of Christmas weddings now. What a fun time to get married.
Even the pouring rain was fun. (And yes, sparklers can be lit in the rain!)
Congrats Kat and Austin, thanks for letting us document your special day!!
